Windshaker Ridge takes home Silver

Leading Western Australian lifestyle magazine Scoop awarded our 2004 Carnelian Silver in their autumn 2009 issue with a tasting event held at Duxton's Hotel. Not only did we take home the silver award, we also came second in both the 'Best Varietal', and 'Under $25' categories and was voted Pick of the Region for the Perth Hills and Swan Valley area.

Here is what the judges had to say about our 2004 Carnelian.

"This carnelian offers depth of colour and is youthful with purple hues. The nose opens with ripe blackberries, succulent plum, spice and savoury notes. The palate is ripe, fleshy, juicy and concentrated with a luscious mouthfeel. The tannins provides structure and the palate is balanced with crisp acidity and a firm powdery finish. It is a wine with power, intensity and concentration."
