Founded
The first successful use of electrokinetic phenomena to recover
contamination from soil, was performed by Reinout Lageman and Wiebbe
Pool in the Netherlands in 1986. Geokinetics was founded by them in 1987
to commercialize this process.
Geokinetics is now a joint venture business with its executive
headquarters in Berkeley, California.
There are also a sales, engineering and project management offices in
Rhenen (the Netherlands)
